Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering also referred to as GATE is one of the most sought-after destination for engineering graduates.


Recently IIT Bombay has released the schedule for GATE 2021 examination along with the GATE  2021 admit card release date on their official website. With the announcement of the exam schedule now, the aspirants have entered the final phase of their preparation for GATE 2021.

The students also need to ensure that they download the most important document to appear for GATE 2021 exam i.e. GATE 2021 admit card. As per the schedule shared by IIT Bombay GATE 2021 admit card will be available to download from 8th Jan 2021 for those candidates who have successfully filled up GATE 2021 application form. The aspirants are hereby requested to download the admit card and keep it in a safe possession. The GATE 2021 admit card needs to be accompanied with an original photo id proof on the day of GATE 2021 Exam.

Instructions to Candidates as per last year Admit Card

A printed copy of this Admit Card must be presented for the verification along with at least one original (not photocopy or scanned copy) valid photo identification proof (For example. Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID, College ID, Employee ID, Driving License).


The Admit Card is considered to be valid only if the photograph and signature are clear. To ensure this, print the admit card on an A4 sized paper using a laser printer, preferably a colour photo printer.


Candidates are advised to locate the examination centre at least a day before the examination, so as to ensure that they can reach the centre on time


To facilitate the verification of their identity, candidates must report at the examination venue at least 60 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination.


Personal calculators, any kinds of watches, mobile phones or any other electronic/communication devices are STRICTLY PROHIBITED inside the examination hall. Note that the GATE authorities are not responsible for the safe keep of candidate’s personal belongings.


During the examination, candidates may be checked for possession of any of the prohibited items. If the candidate is found to possess any of these items, he/she will be liable to be debarred from the examination and/or subjected to disciplinary action, which may include ban from appearing in future examinations.


Candidates will be permitted to appear for the examination ONLY after verification of their credentials by the centre officials.


Candidates will be permitted to occupy their seats 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination. Candidates can login and start reading the instructions 20 minutes before start of the examination.


Candidate will NOT be permitted to leave the examination hall before the end of the examination.


During the examination, a virtual scientific calculator will be available on the computer screen, which can be used for the numerical calculations.


Candidate should NOT bring any Charts/tables/papers into the examination hall. Scribble pad will be provided for the rough work. Before using it, candidate must write his/her name and the registration number. At the end of the examination, this scribble pad must be returned to the invigilator.


Avoid any Coating (ink, mehndi, henna or tattoo) on your fingertips. Biometric system may be used to capture your fingerprint.


 

GATE Admit Card/ Hall Ticket Download Instructions

GATE 2021 organizing institute IIT Bombay will release the GATE 2021 admit card through the online mode. Follow the below mentioned steps GATE 2021 aspirants can successfully download their admit card/hall ticket.

Step 1: To download the GATE 2021 admit card, the aspirants are requested to click on the direct “GATE 2021 Admit Card/Hall Ticket” link, which will be made available on IIT Bombay website starting 8thJan 2021.

Step 2: Candidates need to look for “Download GATE 2021 Admit Card” or similar tab on above website to the official website of IIT Bombay.

Step 3: After clicking the hyperlink, aspirants need to enter their GATE login credentials – Enrollment ID/registered E-mail ID, Password, Security Text or any other information asked for.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Submit’ tab.

Step 5: After the validation of the supplied credentials GATE 2021 admit card/hall Ticket will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Candidates are requested to verify all the filled details furnished in the admit card before printing the GATE admit card/ Hall Ticket.

Step 7: After you have verified the details click on Download and save the GATE 2021 admit card/Hall ticket.

Step 8: Finally, the aspirants are required to take a coloured printout of the GATE admit card/ Hall ticket for future use i.e. for the day of the examination.

Note* On the day of the examination candidates are required to produce GATE Admit Card/ Hall Ticket along with an original Photo ID proof for verification purpose by the GATE officials.
