1. Probationary Engineer (PE)

This is the most prestigious entry-level permanent position in BEL. Recruitment is usually conducted through a national-level written exam followed by an interview.

Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech (Gen/OBC/EWS - First Class).
Salary: Pay Scale ₹40,000 - ₹1,40,000 (Approx CTC 12-14 LPA).
Selection: Written Test (85%) + Interview (15%).

2. Project Engineer (PE - Contractual)

Project Engineers are hired for specific projects on a fixed tenure basis (Contractual), usually for 3-4 years.

Eligibility: B.E/B.Tech + Minimum 2 Years Experience.
Salary: Consolidated Pay starting ~₹40,000/month + yearly increment + ₹12,000/year allowance.

3. Trainee Engineer (TE)

Freshers often target this role. It is a contractual role, ideal for gaining experience in the defence sector.

Eligibility: Freshers can apply (0-1 year exp).
Salary: Starts ~₹30,000/month.
Duration: Initially 2 years, extendable up to 3 years.

4. Field Engineer & Fixed Tenure Engineer

Field Engineers are deployed at customer sites (Air Force Stations, Naval Bases) for installation and support. Fixed Tenure Engineers are similar to Project Engineers but often for specific short-term requirements.
